JOSÉ Protasio RIZAL Mercado y Alonso Realonda (June 19, 1861 – December 30, 1896)

He was a Filipino nationalist and reformist and the most prominent advocate for reform in the Philippines during the Spanish colonial era. He was the inspiration and thus wrongly implicated as the leader of the Katipunan Revolution, and that led to his execution on December 30, 1896, now celebrated as Rizal Day. (Read: Jose Rizal's Contribution)

As a political figure, José Rizal was the founder of La Liga Filipina, a civic organization that subsequently gave birth to the Katipunan. He was a proponent of achieving Philippine self-government peacefully through institutional reform rather than through violent revolution, and would only support "violent means" as a last resort. (Wikipedia)

ANDRÉS BONIFACIO y de Castro (30 November 1863 – 10 May 1897)

He was a Filipino nationalist and revolutionary. He is often called "the father of the Philippine Revolution". Bonifacio was a founder and later Supremo ("supreme leader") of the Katipunan movement which sought the independence of the Philippines from Spanish colonial rule and started the Philippine Revolution.

He is considered a de facto national hero of the Philippines, and is also considered by some Filipino historians to be the first President, but he is not officially recognized as such. (Wikipedia)

EMILIO AGUINALDO y Famy (22 March 1869 – 6 February 1964)

He was a Filipino general, politician, and independence leader. He had an instrumental role during the Philippines' revolution against Spain, and the subsequent Philippine–American War or War of Philippine Independence that resisted American occupation ... (continue reading)

Aguinaldo became the Philippines' first president. He was also the youngest (at age 28) to have become the country's president, the longest-lived former president (having survived to age 94) and the president to have outlived the most number of successors. (Wikipedia)

Dr. Jose Rizal for me,is really deserving to be called as the Philippine National Hero also to acknowledge his huge sacrifices and great nationalism.I believe that he truly deserves to be remembered and honored by us Filipinos because of his heroic deeds and exceptional love to our country.

Dr. Jose Rizal for me,is really deserving to be called as the Philippine National Hero also to acknowledge his huge sacrifices and great nationalism.I believe that he truly deserves to be remembered and honored,by us Filipino because of his heroic deeds and exceptional love to our country.

for me andres bonifacio should be the national hero because he is the one who made the true freedom and peac in our country

I think Bonifacio did better than Rizal. It's all about acts not words that will make the real fighter does.

Rizal is better than Bonifacio. He did so great things despite of having problems personally. He just lived in land of nowhere so called an Inspiration for everyone.

Bonifacio is indeed the real hero. He fought freedom in the real way Heroes do.

Rizal did better than Bonifacio. He simply showed the world Filipinos are strong and resilient.

For Johnrick Lopez, my side belongs to Rizal. He was so very intelligent. We may conclude that all of his works are better than Bonifacio's works.

If Jose Rizal is not our National Philippines Hero today, then Andres Bonifacio is the perfect fit for this category, because he fought for our country too, and he didn't even use any single weapon.

I think Andres Bonifacio would be the perfect fit for this category because he also fought for our country and he didn't even use any weapon.

It should be Rizal our national hero because his legacy are now in the heart and mind of the Filipinos. He fought for our freedom using only his pen and his intelligent mind.

JOSÉ Protasio RIZAL Mercado y Alonso Realonda for our national hero, because he was a self righteous man in his own way. He sacrifice many things including his family safety, self-interest, lovelife, etc, for the benefit of many filipino to be seen and treated as equal as the spaniards.

Rizal deserves to be our national hero because he used his free will and intelligence even if, it is against others interest. He fought through his brilliant intensions rather than conducting bloody revolutions.

I will still choose Dr. Jose Rizal because many of our heroes used violent revolution as a way of getting our freedom but Dr. Rizal, by the use of his nationalistic writings and reforms, he still able to fight for our right and freedom as well as of our country. He know that violent revolution has no assurance of us getting our freedom but will only cause lost of many lives and he did not intelligently think for his personal interests but all for the sake of his country.

Rizal deserves to be our national hero because he used his free will and intelligence even if, it is against others interest. He fought through his brilliant intensions rather than conducting bloody revolutions.

I think it was Jose Rizal more deserving as our National Hero because behind his knowledge he sacrifice himself not for his own but for his country and country men

Rizal deserves to be our national hero because he used his free will and intelligence even if, it is against others interest. He fought through his brilliant intensions rather than bloody revolutions.

if i'm not mistaken, DR. JOSE PROTACIO RIZAL ALONZO MERCADO REYALONDA. he is also known as the national hero of the Philippines and he is PHILOSOPHER/GENUES person co'z at the age of 5 he already talk w/ her mother.

I still choose Dr. Jose Rizal because he thinks that violence wouldn't do anything good which is very true. He may able to hurt them physically but he hurt them through his words because words are powerful and pen is mightier than a sword.

For me it's Rizal, because Rizal is an Idealist person, wherein he used his intellectual ability in making better decisions. He fought with the Spaniards with his own unique way and he knows that they cannot win a revolution with their current strength, he wants to gather more strength so that for sure they can win, so overall Rizal deserved the title "The Philippines national hero".

Andres Bonifacio is also deserving to be a Philippine National Hero simply because he also fought for our freedom using his strength and risking their lives with his co revolutionist.Even though their out of budget for ammunition and weapons,Bonifacio and other Filipino revolutionist never give up to claim our freedom.

For me, Jose Rizal is still be the Philippine National Hero because he didn't use force to achieve our freedom. Even though he did not succeeded with his true goal, he contributed a lot to our country so I salute him.

For me, JOSÉ Protasio RIZAL Mercado y Alonso Realonda should be still our Philippine national hero because of his peaceful way of trying to achieve Philippine self-government. Even though he wasn't the one who led the Katipunan Revolution, his works and writings still inspired it.

"Pen is sharper than sword." I would say Jose Rizal. Even though Jose Rizal did not fight through fists or in an aggressive manner like Bonifacio who literally fought the Spaniards, Rizal wrote pamphlets and encouraged fellow Filipinos to stand up against the Spaniards.

Dr. Jose P. Rizal should be still our Philippine National Hero because he fought for our democracy in a way that no one will be affected. And his writings left deeper wounds and lessons than a revolution did.

s

Dr. Jose Rizal, Because he has a good traits/characteristics,a Filipino Who loves his country, sacrifice his own happiness for us.Give his life for the sake of country the intelligent person that no one can dictate him.

Dr. Jose Rizal Should be the our national hero because of his works and knowledge he give to the Revolution. He has a lot of different ways to ignite and inspire filipinos in our hard strife at that time and gave them the spirit to fight the spaniards.

Jose Rizal clearly deserves to be our national hero because he is the smartest among the two (Emilio Aguinaldo & Andres Bonifacio). He contributed too much of patriotism that can be easily understand by many.

For me i will choose Dr.Jose Rizal because he is the founder of La Liga Filipina who gave birth to Katipunan ,he fought for our country not using harm, and he sacrifice his life because he loves the country. He is educated unlike Bonifacio.

Rizal is the right one to be called the phillipines national hero 'cause he fought for our counrty by opening the minds of his fellow country that results to the freedom our country someone said"since war begins in the mind of the men, it is in the minds of men that the defenses of peace must be constructed."

here's a question...do you think those three will care??....they fought in their own ways for our country's freedom...not for a title....the history has been printed, told, spread, and yet you are still debating on that particular issue??...why don't you look around you...there are a lot of things needing a fix..
