The Philippines needs customer-driven educational institutions

THE PURPOSE OF THE SO-CALLED customer-driven educational organization/institution is to be fully committed in satisfying and anticipating the needs of the students, who are the customers. More than a marketing strategy, this innovative educational philosophy treats the students as partners in developing and delivering quality and pragmatic education (which, in economic jargon, is the product or service offered by an enterprise).

Being a de facto ‘third world’ country, Philippines, I modestly believe, must seriously consider converting its state universities to be customer-driven educational institutions. For instance, since many Filipinos today want to become call center agent, then schools must also offer course specifically for such a profession. TESDA programs must receive more support from the government—more TESDA centers must be constructed around the country and its programs must be well promoted—for the courses it offers are wanted by many Filipinos who want to assume blue-collar jobs in richer countries.

Also included in the so-called customer-driven educational institution is the introduction of ‘ladderized’ education, diploma courses, ETEAP, and on-line education (distant learning).

This article states that the Philippines should have customer-driven educational institutions, treating the students as customers and giving them what they want as a course. Question: Do you think customer-driven educational institutions can help the Filipinos excel in their profession? Why?

This is in reaction to the comment of John Elyser Forbes i for one and not for all disagree with this concept as a solution for our educational improvement. because nowadays what we need here in this country is will. the will to be successful in life and achieve our own individual goal. and of course when it comes to education we need qualified professionals because some of the teachers todays are not qualified to be in their position as a master of their own field.

This is in reaction to the comment of John Elyser Forbes Yes, i think it will help students that want a certain profession be more knowledgeable on that profession. for example Programming, if all his/her time is spent on most programming subjects, he will surely excel in programming

this is in reaction to the comment of Mr. John Elyser R. Forbes yes! it can help Filipinos excel in their profession because it is easy now to focus on what they're really want to achieve or to study and also it is more knowledgeable to a specific course.

The article is about the having the needs of customer-driven educational institutions in the Philippines. Do you think that Philippines government should support the costumer-driven educational institutions?

This is my answer to the question of Nerissa Razon. A TESDA program provides a quality education even with fewer amounts. In this program, course may finish in short time so they can work right away. It also has a ladderized wherein short-courses may continue to 4 or 5 year course.

This is my answer to the question of Nerissa Angelica Razon. I think Philippines should support these institutions. This type of institutions is more convenient for those who can’t afford to have proper education or to enter universities. They also offer a ladderized program. In this way Filipinos can have training and proper knowledge in their chosen field of work.

This is my answer to the question of Nerissa Angelica Razon. I agree that our government should support the TESDA programs. At this time there are a lot of people who choose to enroll in this program in order to have a diploma even in a short span of time and to work already. They are given a chance to work hands-on with the activities. They can also chose on what skills they want to practice or to excel.

Summary:THE PURPOSE OF THE SO-CALLED customer-driven educational organization/institution is to treat a students as partners in developing & delivering quality education. The government must consider to provide more support on TESDA programs because it offer courses that many Filipino wants. Question:Do you think TESDA programs meets the standards of the industries today, Why?

This is my answer to Willard Reta's Question. Yes,I believe TESDA programs/courses can cope up with the standards of the industries, because in some cases TESDA coordinates with the different companies to provide training to make their trainees more competitive and efficient in their profession.

This is my answer to Willard Reta. Yes, because foreign companies coordinates with the TESDA and inform them about their needs and job standards,it is also easier to job seekers to get a job because the TESDA provides an exact training of a job.

Answer to Willard Reta's Question. Oo, Dahil ang TESDA ay pinapatakbo ng gobyerno dapat lang na sumabay ito sa mga batayaan ng mga kumpanya.
