1. IT ENABLES THE STUDENTS to learn anytime and anywhere. It allows them to receive instruction or have access to lectures despite geographic and time disparities.

 
2. It provides learners the ability to ‘pause and rewind’ and the advantage of moving at their own pace. If they need to read or listen to a lecture a second time (as in the case of video-recorded lecture), or think about a question for awhile, they may do so without fearing that they will hold back the rest of the class.
 
3. It allows students to enjoy private learning environment and increases their independence and personal responsibility for education.
 
4. As it is done through the use of internet, it encourages and enables students to access huge stores of information, which greatly enhances their research capabilities.
 
5. Information could be presented to students in a new, fun, and engaging way. It presents good alternative to printed learning materials like rich media, including videos or animations, which enhance learning.
 
6. As a medium of distant education program, it could cater to people with physical disabilities, people who had jobs during normal school hours, and those who lived in remote regions where schools did not exist.
 
7. The method could help in providing educational opportunities to people in a country despite shortage of classrooms.
 
8. Through this process, a small number of qualified teachers or experts in a particular field could serve a considerable number of students.
 
9. The method could also serve as a solution to the problem concerning the lack or shortage of instructional materials.
 
10. As blogs and information in social networks are stored and retrievable on-line, school notes, lectures, exams and the like are not physically destructible.
